Rockland, Mass. (November 14, 2016) - Rockland Trust today welcomed Bank of Cape Cod customers with expanded banking services and resources. Rockland Trust offers financial services built on personal relationships at more than 80 branches throughout Eastern Massachusetts, including 13 branches across the Cape – many with weekend banking hours. For added convenience, customers also have access to Rockland Trust’s Smart ATMs; electronic banking on PCs, tablets, and mobile devices, with a suite of services that includes mobile check deposit; and a full range of checking, business banking, investment management, and commercial financing options.

With the transition, Bank of Cape Cod’s Osterville branch at 57 West Bay Road opened this morning as Rockland Trust’s 13th branch on the Cape. In addition, Andrea Breen, former Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Bank of Cape Cod joined the Rockland Trust Retail Banking team managed by Theresa Richards, District Manager for the branches on Cape Cod. Breen oversees Rockland Trust’s Osterville and Centerville branches.
Mark Sexton and Charles DeSimone also joined Rockland Trust and were appointed to the Cape Cod Commercial Lending team managed by Brian Griffin, First Vice President of Commercial Lending for the Cape and Islands. Sexton was formerly Chief Lending Officer at Bank of Cape Cod and now serves as Rockland Trust’s First Vice President of Commercial Lending in Hyannis. Previously, DeSimone was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending for Bank of Cape Cod. He now serves as First Vice President of Commercial Lending on Rockland Trust’s Cape Cod team.
Rockland Trust also marked the combination of the two banks with a $10,000 pledge as Legacy Sponsor to the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum in 2017. The sponsorship will help the Museum celebrate the centennial of President Kennedy’s birth.
Named a Top Charitable Contributor by the Boston Business Journal for three consecutive years, Rockland Trust and its affiliated foundations donated $2.2 million in grants last year to more than 140 community organizations in Massachusetts. This includes the Bank’s annual high school scholarship program that awards scholarship grants to college-bound high school seniors throughout communities in eastern Massachusetts, including to students in Cape Cod schools.
Rockland Trust announced the acquisition of Bank of Cape Cod on March 17, 2016 and finalized the transaction on November 10, 2016.
