Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Launches its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Grant Program

Hanover, MA – March 25, 2024 - Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, Inc. has launched its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)-focused grant program. The DEI Grant provides funding of up to $15,000 to support internal organizational DEI projects. Since 2021, Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, Inc. has provided over $500,000 to 65 organizations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island through this program.

    

Examples of suitable project(s) under this grant program may include: 


  • Board and/or staff DEI training
  • Organizational DEI policy review/audits
  • Development of a DEI strategic plan
  • Focus groups with the board, leadership, staff and community members 


“Over the last couple of years, it has been inspiring to see the progress and commitment organizations have made to DEI both internally and within to their communities,” said Andrea Borowiecki, Vice President of Charitable Giving & Community Engagement at Rockland Trust and Executive Director of Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation. “It is an honor to, once again, provide the opportunity for organizations to start or further their DEI work, which will create stronger communities focused on celebrating inclusion and diversity.”


Organizations that currently receive support from Rockland Trust or the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation are eligible to apply for this initiative without any impact to other funding applications. The DEI Grant program application will be online at RocklandTrust.com/DEIGrant beginning March 25, 2024. The deadline for applications is April 19, 2024, by 5 p.m. EST, and grantees will be notified in June.
